Alexander de Almeida

Alex (He/They) is the Founder & Principal of Building Block Legal, PLLC.

Alex is an advocate passionate about changing the world for the better. After receiving a joint-degree JD/MBA from the University of Pittsburgh, where they studied Entrepreneurship and Sustainable Business, Alex began to get more involved in the arts and innovation side of Pittsburgh as a part-time glass artist.

After helping others on the side with their business and intellectual property questions, Alex thought - “Why can’t the legal profession be more accessible for people?”

That was the spark that lead to the creation of Building Block Legal. Here, we aim to make the law approachable and to tailor solutions towards client’s unique goals, not just to the default template.

We believe in the “teach a person to fish” philosophy of advocacy - our job isn’t to eliminate risk, but to explain it, so that clients can make informed decisions aligned with their mission, vision, and values.
